Scented Tart "Eucalyptus for autumn"

This is a wonderful mixture for autumn. It's dark early in the morning as I start working and gets dark as I'm still working. The mixture of Eucalyptus and Mandarin is uplifting and balancing the lack of sunshine, at least at a mental, emotional level. Besides, Eucalyptus oil has disinfecting effect on room air and on respiratory tract. Enjoy this scented tarts visually and olfactory.

For this project you need:

100 gr Stearinwax

5 ml Eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus citriodora)

3 ml Mandarin essential oil (Citrus reticulada) 

Wax pigment dark green (about half a pellet)

a mold (we've applied a chocolate mold )

Utensil as explained in general instruction

packaging material (optional)

(optional) disposable pipettes for essential oils

Patience and good mood

So, let's get started.

Instructions:

One: Wight Stearin wax (100 gr)

Two: Put the pot in water bath and stir the wax every now and then for a homogeneous heat distribution. The water should be between 80-90 ^oC. We've applied a chopstick for stirring. You can add the pigment from the very beginning or add it as the wax is melted. Apply the pigment very sparingly. Half a pellet is sufficient for 100 gr wax. 

Three: After the whole wax is melted and the color uniformly distributed remove the pot out of water bath. Continue stirring and measure the temperature.  

Four: At max. 60 ^oC, add the essential oils (3 ml mandarin, 5 ml eucalyptus). If the wax hardens meanwhile heat it slightly in the water bath to melt the whole wax. Avoid overheating after adding the essential oils.

Five: Pour the wax with a steady hand in to the form. With our applied form we could prepare 14 pieces out of 100 gr stearin. Let the wax cool at room temperature. It takes about 30 Minutes. You can easily demold the wax afterwards.

Six: Pack the wax pieces in an air tight sack/can or any other suitable package.
