Guest post: Making a Natural Body Wash with Yucca extract
I've infected some of my readers with my obsession with yucca extract. This wonderful formulation, photo and instruction are submitted from Singapore, by amazing Teresa from Balm Kitchen.
You can have a look at my previous post for a gentle facial cleansing gel recipe with yucca extract and other natural surfactants.
Here is the recipe:
68.5% demineralised water
20% coco glucoside
3% yucca extract
3% glycerine
3% symbiosolv clear
1% Xanthum and Acacia gum blend
0.5% lavender
1% Euxyl K903
Instruction:
1- In a small beaker add gum to glycerine to hydrate.
2- Mix solubiliser, lavender and preservative and set aside.
3- Add glycerine/gum into water and stir till thickened.
4- Add coco glucoside and yucca extract into the water/gum/glycerine and stir gently to prevent foam from foaming.
5- Add solubiliser/lavender/preservative blend into the water mixture and stir gently.
6- Adjust the pH if necessary with lactic acid or sodium hydroxide
