"Silk & Velvet" all natural hair conditioner for dry & ...

Hi everybody.

I have another amazing formulation to share with you. This beautiful photo and fabulous product are shared by our dear Teresa from the balm kitchen.

This is a natural hair conditioner loaded with amazing ingredients to bring gloss and volume to dry, coloured and damaged hair.

As always before we start I want to recommend you to read our older posts: hygienic manufacturing practice in cosmetic lab and introduction to Basic equipments and utensils for a cosmetic lab.

Ingredients:

Procedure:

1- Heat phase A and B separately in a water bath at ca. 70 ^oC.

2- After both phases have arrived the same temperature and Plantasens HE20  and Dermosoft GMCY are completely melted, add phase B slowly to phase A under stirring.

3- Blend completely till you have a homogenous pre-emulsion

4- Add phase C which is at room temperature to phase A+B and blend

5- Homogenize for a few minutes

6- Add the rosemary extract and blend well

7- Disperse the gums in glycerine and add this to the conditioner. Stir the emulsion while you add the gum to avoid any clumping of the gums

8- When the emulsion temperature is around 35 ^oC add the essential oil and the preservative. Adjust the pH around 5.0-5.2 by adding lactic acid

Continue stirring untill the conditioner reaches room temperature. Take your dipslide sample and fill the rest in a suitable bottle.

Enjoy the silky feel and the gloss and vitality the conditioner imparts to your hair.
