Our vegeluron could be a stand-alone facial and under-eye serum on its own and many of our customers use it as it is but we wanted to push it up with some more active ingredients and have created this lush under eye serum for you. It is extremely easy to make, no specific instruments, no gum dispersion, no homogenizer. Quick, easy and effective.
Since this is an under eye product, I haven't used any essential oil and all the divine scent in this gel comes from the hydrosol. If you want to add any essential oil, keep the concentration under 0,5% and disperse it with a solubilizer such as Symbiosolv XC or Symbiosolv clear.
Ingredients:
Organic rose water to 100,0%
vegeluron 60,0%
Organic aloe powder 0,5%
Sodium lactate 1,0%
Lactic acid (to adjust the pH) a few drops
Plant based pentylene glycol 2,0%
Although aloe and caffeine powder are water soluble, addition of pentylene glycol improves and accelerates the solubility. Apart from that, pentylene glycol is a preservative booster and a moisturizer.
Panthenol 1,0%
Caffeine (extracted from green tea) 1,0%
Dermosoft 1388 eco 2,5%
Procedure:
1- Blend rosewater, pentylene glycol, caffeine and aloe powder in a beaker. You may need a magnetic stirrer to accelerate the blending but it is easy done as well with a spatula.
2- Add all other ingredients (except the preservative , dermosoft 1388 eco)
3- Prepare a 10% dilution and measure the pH. It should be above 5,3 as you add the preservative. If the pH is lower, add arginine to increase the pH.
4- Add the preservative and blend. Prepare another 10% dilution and measure the pH. For this preservative we're using (Dermosoft 1388 eco) it should be between 5,2-5,5. If the pH is higher than 5,5, add Lactic acid to reduce it. If you are using another preservative system, adjust the pH according to preservative requirements.
The product is a clearless, transparent gel. We recommend packing it in an airless bottle, dropper bottle or a mini roll-on tube/bottle. The less the product comes into contact with the finger the better.
