Shower oil with a kick

The moment I had my eyes on the chili CO2 extract, I knew I'm going to make a shower/bath product with it.

This is a winter-special self-emulsifying shower oil with warming properties of the chili extract and is rich in carotenoids. It not only pampers dry skin, it stimulates circulation, warms the skin up and helps relieve muscle and jont pain.

About our chili extract:

Our chili extract contains about 3,0-3,2% capcaicinoids. Capcaicin is used in medicinal products for its warming and pain relief properties. Its concentration varies (in finished products) between 0,05% in balms and creams to 8% in capcaisin patches. We are using chili extract and capcaicin for its warming properties, carotenoid content and its gorgeous red colour. In lip care products, we use it for its circulation enhancement properties which causes to plump lips (obviously only shortly after application). Keep in mind that you are making a cosmetic product and not a drug. The dosage depends on the product type and its application but I wouldn't apply it more than 0,5% in leave-on products. In rinse-off products such as a shower oil you can increase the concentration of the extract up to 2,0% and in bath products where the extract is diluted in bath water up to 5%. Do not let this ingredient (and the finished product) come into contact with eyes and do not apply this product over burns and wounds and compromised skin.

The procedure is quite straighforward. Blend all ingredients at room temperature and fill the oi in a suitable container. Enjoy the skin feel, the warming effect and the amazing colour.
