Winter is the perfect time for body melts and considering the public awareness and apathy for plastic packaging, these cute body melts are a perfect gift or a perfect new product to be added to your product range.
I personally do love body melts and prepare different themes all through the year. These ones are made with are newly arrived and amazing "green tea wax". If you have never heard about green tea wax and want to know what the hell it is please first goa nd read this blog post before proceeding:
I made these body melts with a look at the skin which is suffering under cold and dry climate and the extreme variations between indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. Feel free to swap the ingredients as you want but keep in mind that you may need to tweak the formulation and adjust its hardness to your ambient temperature. Usually body melts should be hard enough to stay in the hand and doesn't melt in your hands during application but soft enough to melt over skin when you apply a little bit of pressure.

Procedure:
1- Heat phase A in a water bath between 80-85 oC. Ascorbyl palmitate needs this high temperature to melt in the butter/wax phase. If you don't use any ascorbyl palmitate, you need to heat the butter phase according to the melting point of your waxes and butters.
2- Blend phases B,C and D in separate beakers. Keep in mind that none of the powders melts in the oil. You need to blend this phase to keep the powders suspended.
3- When all of phase A is melted uniformly stop heating and remove the beaker from the bath. Add phase B and C and blend. Stir at room temperature every now and then till you reach a thick trace.
4- Add the essential oils and pour into a suitable mold. Bring the mold into fridge and let it stay there between 12-24 hours.
5- Remove from the mold and wrap in wax paper.
