Body splash is an amazingly effective and safe product to use several times a day by this crazy hot weather.
I prefer to use peppermint hydrosol because it's refreshing and uplifting and chills you with a wiff of cooling peppermint. It's moisturizing and if you don't have a very dry skin, or don't want to apply any creams and emulsions by such hot temperatures, it's absolutely enough for summer skin care.
Since I have shared several body splash tutorials during the past years, I'm jumping to the formulation-
Formulation:
Phase A |
|
Peppermint hydrosol |
to 100,0% |
Plant based pentylene glycol |
5,0% |
Vegeluron |
2,0% |
Skin prebiotic |
2,0% |
Panthenol |
2,0% |
Na-PCA |
2,5% |
Na-lactate |
2,0% |
Renoumer |
1,0% |
Aloe leaf extract powder |
1,0% |
Natural chelator PA-3 |
0,1% |
Phase B |
|
Preservative versatile BL non GMO |
0,5% |
Preservative 1388 eco |
2,5% |
Procedure:
1- Blend all ingredients of phase A in a beaker @RT. The powders easily dissolve in the hydrosol.
2- Prepare a 10% solution in distilled water and measure the pH. In our case it was 5,05 and we added the preservative without any preadjustment. Depending on the ingredients you use you may have another pH and you may need to adjust the pH before adding the preservative
3- Add the preservative, make another 10% dilution and remeasure the pH. It was 5,29 in our case which is perfectly in range for the product and for our preservative system. You may need to decrease or increase the pH at the end depending on your ingredients and preservative system.
4- Take your micro kit and stability samples and fill the rest in a spray bottle.
Enjoy the whiff of refreshness as often as you like per day.
BeHappy and have fun
