The moment I had my hands on oat silk I knew I want to test it in a deodorant stick. Oat flour imparts a silky skin feel, improves the glide, reduces the greasiness and imparts anti-inflammatory properties to the stick.
I have been making and testing natural (and free from baking soda) deodorants for a few years now and I'm always trying to tweak/improve the formulation.
This years extremely long and hot summer was an excellent challenge for all formulations, specially for deodorants and this is my latest creation.

Procedure:
1- Weight each phase separately in a beaker.
2- Heat phase A in a water bath at aroun 75-80 oC. This is the temperature for melting rice wax which has a higher melting point than berry and myrica wax.
3- After phase A is melted stop heating but do not remove the beaker from the bath. Add phase B and blend.
4- The powders in phase C do not dissolve in lexfeel natural or cetiol ultimate. You need to stir this phase to keep them suspended. Now add phase C to the rest of the blend.
5-pour into stick moulds
6- Put the moulds in the fridge for at least 12 hours (we let them stay overnight).
7- Remove from the fridge
8- Enjoy using this natural and mild deodorant
BeHappy and have fun
