The oil
INCI: Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil
CAS-Nummer: 97676-26-1
Saponification value: 170-190 mg KOH/gr
Iodine value: 130-145
The oil is derived from the seeds of passion fruit (maracuja), an Amazonian fruit. It has a dark yellow-reddish colour and a fruity scent similar to the fruit.
This is one of the few liquid oils with a relatively medium content of oleic acid. Its main component is linolenic acid.

Its palmitic and stearic acid content is quite suitable for a nice coverage, refatting and barrier protection but not that much to contribute to a greasy and sticky skin feel.
Unrefined passionfruit oil contains about 1% of unsaponifiables: mainly carotenoids, vit A and flavonoids.
Use this lovely oil in your hair & skin care products and enjoy the skin feel and the barrier protection properties.
We recommend applying this oil during the cool down phase and /or in cold process.
